I joined the All Saints Birchington church choir in 1988 at 10 years old under the direction of Peter Russell. This is also where I continue to sing on a regular basis. From there I joined school choirs and successfully auditioned for Kent County Junior Choir where I progressed through the ranks to Kent Youth Choir.
Throughout my 20s I sang with The Knole Singers where we toured cathedrals in the summer holidays to sing at choral evensong inc York Minster, St. David’s and Exeter.
From 2010 I joined what was The Seventy Choir now Thanet Chamber Choir.

The singing and quality of music we produce!
I love the friendships we build and the love of music we share.

Although I very much enjoy the concerts we sing in, for me I have enjoyed singing carols at Maurice House and enjoying the smiles on the residents’ faces.
I love singing at choral evensongs, the beauty of a well-sung psalm is awesome! - we do need to do more!
But last summer’s (2022) In Windsor Forest & Reluctant Dragon have definitely been a highlight!

I love big works - Hallelujah Chorus, Zadok the Priest by Handel .
